Dear child of God,
Whether you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit expressed through the heavenly language of tongues, or you’re still desiring to receive it—here’s good news for you.
This new language is the language of heaven—a divine tone given to you by your Father to communicate with Him, just as anyone would in their native tongue with people of their own kind.
The devil is not your kin, so this language shuts him out.
It is your heavenly language, a sacred communication between you and your Father.
Is it any wonder, then, why the devil fights the expression of this gift so fiercely, flooding hearts with long-standing lies? like for example.
“Oh, you’re insulting God.”
“It’s gibberish.”
“It makes no sense.”
“You sound ridiculous.”
“Don’t let anyone hear you.”
“You’re deceiving yourself.”
“You’re possessed.”
And around this time, no doubt, you’ll start seeing videos mocking tongues—claiming people are speaking “demonic” languages. You’ll hear thoughts like:
“You’re making it up.”
“How can you be sure of what you’re saying?”
“How can you feel safe speaking a language you don’t even understand?”
But child of God—
Have you forgotten who gave you this language?
It was your Father in heaven you were speaking to. He knows exactly what you’re saying.
Have you forgotten what Jesus said?
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake?”
(Matthew 7:9-10)
Even we, who are flawed and broken, do not trick our children—how much more your heavenly Father?
The One who formed you in His love, who created this beautiful world for you to enjoy, who continually lavishes you with His kindness—how much more will He give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
How much more will He fill your mouth when you open it wide to receive?
Don’t let the giants of doubt and unbelief take up residence in your mind.
Don’t give them thought-space. Don’t give them room.
You asked your Father. You desired Him. You stood in His presence and you asked—directly, sincerely.
And when you opened your mouth, He filled it. He will fill it again.
These are the common obstacles to expressing your heavenly language:
Fear that what you’re saying doesn’t make sense.

But every child learning a new language sounds like they’re babbling at first.
Even babies, when they speak to their mothers, begin with sounds that make no sense. But these sounds are a necessary part of language development.
Gibberish is stage one.
Your Father understands.
Even when you don’t.
Even when others don’t.
He does.
Because God doesn’t just speak words—He speaks intentions.
He hears at the heart level.
So don’t get fixated on how the language sounds. It’s not a test of logic. It’s a language of Spirit. He understands you.
And yes—there will come the fear:
What if I’m speaking a demonic tongue?
But your Father will never give you an evil gift when you ask for His Spirit.
Dismiss the thought.
Rebuke the lie.
You are safe in Him.
⸻
And maybe you’re waiting for the Holy Spirit to overtake your will—
But the world has conditioned us to think power means force.
That’s not how God works.
The Holy Spirit is gentle. He doesn’t possess. He doesn’t force.
He influences. He draws. He woos.
He is not coercive.
He will not override your will—because your free will was His idea.
You have the right to speak.
You have the right to choose to flow.
The gift is already within you.
But it is by your faith, and your will, that you activate it.
Begin to speak.
Let your imagination lead you.
Trust that what you’re sensing is Him.
Even if it feels like “mm,” or “ba,” or broken syllables—start there.
God often hides in the humble, unpolished things.
⸻
As long as your heart is aligned, you are there.
And just like a child, your language will grow.
Over time, your vocabulary will expand.
Your confidence will increase.
You’ll move from sounds to sentences.
You don’t start fluent.
You grow into it.
⸻
So congratulations, child of God.
This is your heavenly language.
It is a gift.
It is sacred.
It is yours.
And no one can take it from you.
Speak.
Speak with boldness.
Speak with joy.
Heaven is listening.
